Getting started with NZSO+

Welcome to NZSO+. We have compiled some essential information to help you get started. If you need help finding the information you're looking for, please email nzsoplus@nzso.co.nz.

NZSO+ is available for only $5.99 per month or $59.99 per year.
You can cancel anytime. No strings attached.

Managing my account

To update your account information, click your name icon located in the top right-hand corner of the screen. From the dropdown menu, select 'My account.'

From there, you can:

  • Update your account information

  • Change your password

  • Manage your NZSO+ billing

  • Cancel your subscription

  • Delete your account.

Discovering concerts, livestreams, and content on NZSO+

NZSO+ will be regularly updated with new content. You can search for titles you’re interested in or browse the playlists curated by NZSO.

To save your favourite videos, select the bookmark icon in the top right-hand corner of each video title. Your saved videos will appear in 'My playlist', accessible through the NZSO+ menu in the right-hand corner of the screen. When you're ready to watch, head to 'My playlist' and select your desired video.

Some NZSO concerts are livestreamed on NZSO+. We will keep you informed about upcoming livestreams via email and provide the details on nzso.co.nz. To enjoy a livestream, log in to your NZSO+ account and navigate to the livestream video page before the concert starts.

Supported devices and compatibility

NZSO+ is currently optimised for smart TV playback via casting devices like Apple TV or ChromeCast. We are currently looking into increasing our support for native Smart TV browsers and older TVs.

NZSO+ is currently optimised for modern internet browsers, including the latest versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Microsoft Edge and Brave.

There is no restriction on the number of devices you can associate your account with. To watch on a new or different device, sign in to NZSO+ using that device.

Technical issues

If you experience video playback or technical issues, please check your internet connection and coverage at home. Contact your internet service provider if the problem persists.

Watching NZSO+ using Chromecast

You can cast NZSO+ from your computer's Chrome browser or from an Android device to your TV.

Using a computer with Chrome browser:

  1. Connect your Chromecast: Ensure your Chromecast is connected to your TV and both devices are on the same Wi-Fi network as your computer.

  2. Open Chrome browser: On your computer, launch the Google Chrome browser.

  3. Navigate to NZSO+: Enter www.nzso.co.nz/plus in the address bar and press Enter. Make sure you are logged into your NZSO+ account.

  4. Cast the tab: Click the three-dot menu in the top right corner of Chrome and select "Cast." Choose your Chromecast device from the list. The entire browser tab will be mirrored on your TV.

  5. Find content: Browse or search within NZSO+ to find the concert or video you want to watch. Select the content and press play. The video will start streaming on your TV.

  6. Control playback: Use your computer to control the playback (play, pause, fast forward, rewind, etc.).

Using an Android device:

  1. Connect your Chromecast: Ensure your Chromecast is connected to your TV and both devices are on the same Wi-Fi network as your Android device.

  2. Install Google Home app: If you haven't already, install the Google Home app on your Android device.

  3. Open the Google Home app: Launch the app and locate your Chromecast device.

  4. Cast your screen: Tap your Chromecast device, then tap "Cast my screen" and follow the on-screen instructions.

  5. Navigate to NZSO+: Open the web browser on your Android device and enter www.nzso.co.nz/plus in the address bar. Make sure you are logged into your NZSO+ account.

  6. Find content: Browse or search within the website to find the movie, TV show, or video you want to watch. Select the content and press play. The video will start streaming on your TV.

  7. Control playback: Use your Android device to control the playback (play, pause, fast forward, rewind, etc.).

Watching NZSO+ from your Smart TV

A Smart TV is a television that has built-in internet connectivity, allowing you to access NZSO+ directly on your TV. Here's how you can watch NZSO+ using a Smart TV:

  1. Ensure your Smart TV is connected to the internet via Wi-Fi or an Ethernet cable.

  2. Access the home screen: Turn on your Smart TV and navigate to its home screen, where you'll find a collection of apps and features.

  3. Open the web browser: Locate the built-in web browser app on your Smart TV's home screen or app library. The browser may be called "Internet," "Web Browser," or something similar, depending on your TV brand.

  4. Navigate to NZSO+: Use the Smart TV remote to enter www.nzso.co.nz/plus in the browser's address bar. You can usually find an on-screen keyboard to enter the URL or use the remote's arrow keys to select letters and characters. Make sure you are logged into your NZSO+ account.

  5. Find content: Browse or search NZSO+ to find the concert or video you want to watch. Select the content you want to watch and press play. The video will start streaming on your Smart TV.

  6. Control playback: Use your Smart TV remote to control the playback (play, pause, fast forward, rewind, etc.).
