Patrick joined the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra as Associate Principal in 2000.

He received his Bachelor's degree from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, where he studied with David Neuman and Luis Baez.

Patrick was a Tanglewood fellow and is a past winner of the Oregon Symphony's Corbett Competition.
