Flute, Young Artist Showcase Concerto Soloist

Louis Liu is 15 and from New Zealand. He began studying flute at the age of seven and went on to win the Australian Flute Festival Young Artist Competition (under 18 category) at age 11. He competed in the San Francisco International Online Flute Competition, was awarded the Outstanding Junior Performer at the Galway flute festival and and performed in the gala concert of the Guangzhou international flute competition.

Upon arriving in Switzerland for a year’s study, he has won two major competitions within two months and solo concerts in Geneva: the CNSE Champion du Vent of Neuchatel and winning First Prize with Special Mention at the CSMJ, the national Swiss competition. He has won first prize at the International Online Competition of the German Flute Society and was invited to play at Weimar.
