Grammy Award-winning pianist Daniil Trifonov joins the NZSO to perform one of the pinnacles of piano concertos.
It is our pleasure to present Russian pianist Daniil Trifonov to audiences for his Aotearoa New Zealand debut. Described by The Times as “without question the most astounding pianist of our age”, his rendition of Rachmaninov’s extraordinary Third Piano Concerto is guaranteed to be unforgettable.

Umberto Clerici, Chief Conductor of the Queensland Symphony Orchestra and lauded as “a powerhouse on the podium” (Artshub), will be our tour guide to Rome through two exceptional works from Berlioz and Respighi.
Berlioz’s Roman Carnival Overture gives us a taste of Italian festivities, while Respighi’s resplendent Fountains of Rome takes us on a tour of four of the 50 monumental fountains in Rome.
