Relaxed Concert

Our Relaxed Concerts cater for neurodivergent people of all ages who may feel uncomfortable in a traditional concert environment.

There is a relaxed attitude to noise and movement during the performance, minimal lighting effects, a ‘chill-out’ space is available, and where possible, we ask that traditional applause from the audience is replaced by silent NZ Sign Language applause.

A guide will be prepared for each performance with descriptions of what to expect at the concert.  Our aim is always to maximise patrons’ certainty around the positive experience they can have a calm, enjoyable and safe concert.

While every effort is made to ensure these events are supportive of sensory needs, there are factors outside of our control, such as numbers of participants and audience noise levels.
