Unlock your students’ creativity and curiosity through our dynamic music workshops, designed to inspire and engage young minds. Whether it’s retelling beloved fairytales, exploring the depths of symphonic masterpieces, or crafting songs in the moment, each workshop offers a unique, interactive experience that brings music to life in your classroom. 

Our Workshops Include: 

  • Once Upon a Beat: Perfect for younger students (Years 0-2), this 30-45-minute workshop turns classic fairytales into musical adventures using interactive percussion and storytelling. 

  • The Story Sound Workshop: Ideal for Years 3-8, this 60-90 minute workshop transforms students’ ideas into music, fostering creativity and collaboration as they see their stories come to life through sound. 

  • Symphonic Deep Dives: For students in Years 5-8, explore some of the most famous symphonic works ever written including music from the current NZSO season. These 60-90 minute workshops offer an immersive journey into the heart of symphonic music, blending education with hands-on participation. 

  • The Song Craft Workshop: Specially tailored and exclusively available for neurodivergent and disabled students (Years 5-13), this 45-minute workshop focuses on creating joy through music. We take students’ ideas and transform them into interactive songs, fostering a sense of empowerment and community. 
     

Cost: $5 per student. Maximum 30 students, minimum of 10 per session required. 

Instruments: Our NZSO Animateur travels with an assortment of hand percussion instruments your students can create with. 

Location: Any school in Aotearoa NZ! We can come to your area, subject to availability.
