Creative Music Workshops

NZSO Education offers tailor-made workshops linked to NZSO performances across Aotearoa.

Our educators inspire your students with workshops designed to develop their understanding of the world of symphonic music. The workshops’ close connections to the curriculum are valuable for teachers, while students enjoy exploring and identifying various sounds and learning about how to create music in a fun setting.

Example of themes for a workshop:

·       Introduction session to the orchestra

·       Exploration of repertoire from a specific performance

·       Music workshop focused on a specific topic linked to your students’ classroom activities

No need to be in a town visited by the NZSO; our Animateur can travel to you.

These workshops can range from an intensive one-hour session to an extended involvement lasting several weeks.

All NZSO school workshops support the aims and objectives of the New Zealand Arts Curriculum and are suitable from primary through to Intermediate-level students.

Cost: $5 per student, with a minimum of 10 students per session required.
