Schools' Concerts

Join us for the NZSO's Captivating Schools’ Concert!

Experience Ngā Tohu o te Taiao The Signs of Nature, an exciting and interactive performance showcasing beloved symphonic music, a new specially composed suite by Dr Jeremy Mayall, and stunning live visual art by Marcus Winter, aka ‘The Sandman’. Students will learn about Aotearoa New Zealand’s seasonal signs of nature, where and when to find them, and how to care for them.

Highlights include a musical retelling of the Māori creation story and a special song for children to sing with the orchestra. Presented by NZSO Animateur Chris Lam Sam, this concert promises to be an exciting and interactive experience that will unpack elements of the music in fun and engaging ways. Don't miss this extraordinary journey into the wonders of te taiao, the natural world!
