About
For over a century, the Opera House has represented the heart and soul of Oamaru, and has been a hub for social, political and cultural activity. Today, it continues to evolve as a venue for performing arts, functions and conferences.
The building was opened in 1907 and remains largely in its original condition after restoration work in 2009. The Opera House is open weekly to the public from 8:30am to 2pm. Feel free to go and have a look around.

For evening shows, there is parking along Thames Street or Wear Street. During the day, parking is available along Thames Street or in the car parks off Steward Street.
