About

Built as a community dance hall, the venue was converted into a theatre in 1975 and fully redeveloped to its current capacity in 2015.

The theatre seats 362 in the Stalls and 138 in the Circle. A licensed bar proudly serves locally produced Gisborne wines, beers and ciders.

The stunning foyer, with the "Field of Poppies" feature ceiling, is available to book for functions and events.

  • There is a separate wheelchair access door

  • Removable wheelchair seats are in rows E and F. These seats are typically held until very close to the show so that they cannot be booked by the general public.
